Penwood Forge is not geared up as a commercial B&B or Hotel, Our aim is to provide a peaceful, laid back and comfortable haven to relax, unwind and meet new people.
Set in a peaceful location with glorious views yet only a few minutes walk from Lostwithiel’s old town centre and riverside walks, Penwood Forge provides
comfortable en-suite rooms and safe off-road parking.
Food is not cooked or served here but a selection of teas, coffee, cold drinks and Healthy, Cholesterol Friendly Breakfast options are available,
free of charge, on a “help yourself” basis
Guests are welcome to bring their own food and use the kitchen to “do their own thing” or prepare their picnics for the day
There are numerous good restaurants, great food pubs and a fantastic fish and chip shop all within walking distance. Our nearest pub, just 200yds away, does excellent meals from around £7 pp.
Our Bedrooms are immaculately clean, uncluttered and are equipped with flat screen TV, hairdryer and fresh linen.
(For your peace of mind; are all fitted with fire doors, emergency escape windows and smoke alarms)
For those who must stay in touch, Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.
Our gardens are a suntrap, many a bottle of wine have been enjoyed watching the sun disappear over the western hills. Or you might like to sit on a log by the stream and read a book or write up your diary.

Lostwithiel is situated at the upper reaches of the tidal part of the river Fowey
To explore the river (Quick trip down the river short video 3 min's) by boat or canoe down the six miles or so to Fowey, Lerryn or Golant is an absolute delight so if you want to bring a small boat or canoes,
We have plenty of space to keep them safe if you don’t want to lug them about while doing other things.
Over the years, people from all over the world have discovered this to be an ideal little haven to explore Cornwall’s beautiful spring gardens, quaint little harbours, stunning coastal walks
and the rugged granite tors and ancient monuments on Bodmin Moor.
